PLAYGROUP
FOR MULTIPLES
Our playgroups aren't just for the kids! It's a great way to meet other parents and enjoy a snack and a cuppa while older kids play and babies can roll about or snooze. There is often parents with older multiples who are able to help with the younger babies in a pinch!
Pregnant mums and their support people are welcome to pop by and say hello before babies arrive - maybe get a taste for what the day-to-day is like for our families. Once your babies arrive; many parents say that in those early days it was a lifeline and a good reason to get out of the house to a safe location with great facilities.
We occasionally hold clothing grabs at playgroup as well, which is a fantastic opportunity to get good second hand clothes for free!
We currently run playgroup on the first Tuesday of every month from 10am - 12pm at the Wadestown Plunket Rooms. Everyone is welcome! Please keep an eye on our Closed Facebook Page for updates and further information.
Current as at 30/1/25
NOTE: We are currently on the lookout for someone to take on the role of Playgroup Coordinator. This is most suited to parents with young multiples, as work commitments can quickly get in the way of being able to open and close the Plunket rooms. Please contact president@wellingtonmultiples.org.nz if you think you could help with this.
Role description:
Playgroup is an important part of our community and we feel it’s pivotal to have a welcoming place for our club members to connect and feel supported.
As a playgroup coordinator you will work alongside others members of our club to run the monthly playgroups. We have recently have been holding these at the Wadestown Plunket Rooms on a Tuesday morning. You will maintain the relationship and hire agreement with the Venue and work alongside others to engage with members and promote our playgroup.
Our Committee meets once a month, usually via zoom, for around an hour and work together to ensure that the committee continues to support our multiples families. You’ll have loads of support from the other members who are all parents to Multiples too.
