Playgroup Coordinator
Playgroup is an important part of our community and we feel it’s essential that parents have a welcoming place for our club members to come and feel supported. However, playgroup is MOST SUCCESSFUL when the duties of running it fall to more than one person!
In summary:
Where? Wadestown Plunket Rooms
When? 1st Tuesday of every month
Time? 10am-12pm
Responsibilities of running playgroup.
-
Open and close the venue using the lock code and key provided. Super simple to manage!
-
Provide morning tea (could be based on numbers who have said they might be attending). Due to inconsistent numbers we haven't been providing a morning tea and milk for each session (but send receipt to treasurer for reimbursement if this starts again)
-
Maintain relationships with the venue coordinator and renew the hire agreement as needed. It’s important we leave hired facilities clean and tidy but this should be a group effort and not fall to one parent every week.
-
Attend monthly committee meetings to keep in touch with other members of the committee and provide updates.
Social Events Coordinator
Are you passionate about bringing families together? We’re looking for a Social Events Coordinator to help plan and organise fun, inclusive events for parents and children in our multiples community.
Key Responsibilities:
-
Organise and coordinate social events for families.
-
Liaise with venues and providers to secure bookings.
-
Work with the committee to plan events within budget.
-
Collaborate with our IT/Social Media committee member to promote events and manage RSVPs.
-
Attend monthly committee meetings to provide updates.
This flexible volunteer role is a great way to connect with other parents and make a difference in our community. You will be greatly supported by the other members of the committee, and we all pitch in to help where we can!
